Great place to visit. Ft Humboldt, Humboldt Bay, Arcata, Samoa Cook House, Trinidad, Famers Landing. Great food, very nice people and some beautiful scenery. OH yes, Ferndale and Fortuna too. Rio Del, Scotia on and on.

Some of the most beautiful country anywhere in the nation, my stomping grounds as a young boy in the 1960s and into the 1970s. Thanks for taking the drive up the North Coast. We had to evacuate as a result of the 1964 flood, ending up in Grants Pass, Oregon. It always nice to see the area, and was there last year. The home is gone but the charm of the place and its layout is still there.

I quite liked music switch when freeway ends we enter the southern edge of Fortuna. Looking forward to the next installments - my trip north on US 101 a few years ago ended around Trinidad.

We used to go to Grover state park near Markleville to go to tge hit springs. The Hot springs swimming pools where destryrd in the Caldor fire 4+ years ago.

My haunting ground for many years, really loved the North Coast, especially between Eureka and Crescent City. Eureka was invaded by hispanic and Asian wannabe gang punks in the later 90's, snd made the nice mall unsafe.

I lived in Eureka California from 1999 to 2003. It’s improved some, put the town still leaves much to be desired.😒😒😒😒😒

I actually live closest to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, but I think the best one that I’ve been to so far is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee/North Carolina.

Nice job! I watched your Hwy 395 video on Thursday and was a bit frustrated with the "my grandpa and me" phrase used over and over again. When I noticed this video come up as a suggested video for me, I almost didn't watch it. So glad I decided to give it a try. I can really see how much you have improved. Thanks for posting a very useful video for older viewers. Your grandfather gives us inspiration to try new things. May he live long and stay healthy. And you are a very good grandson!

The whole Utah/Wyoming region is beautiful. I recommend the film "Spencer's Mountain" as it was filmed in the Teton Valley region. Did you happen to see any tourons while you were in Yellowstone btw?

I-15 is a mess, from absolute idiots on the road, the exits being stacked on top of each other, to the point of the mountain curve that nobody can take faster than 30mph for some reason makes going south hell. Utah transportation is bad and its only getting worse.

Nice nne, Kyle. Always good to see things off the beaten path, and there's some nice scenery there. You need to get to Sequoia NP and have a look at Giant Forest and the Sherman Tree one of these days. And yes, the further north on the 101 you go, the more you are into Bigfoot country....

I've lived in El Paso all my life ,the 54 freeway first was started from interstate ten in 60s and was built in sections in the 70s 80s and 90s .it was supposed to go to the New Mexico state line but stops at S. Haggerty Street where you have to continue the rest of the way on the Frontage Road

I moved to Mammoth 45 years ago in 1978 and forgot to leave! Your tour and narration of the area was very good and info quite accurate. But, always the ‘but’, my first education I was given (TOLD!) is the proper pronunciation of ‘Mono’. Both ‘O’s are long. As in Yoko Ono…mow-no It’s a dead giveaway who’s a tourist. So, next visit be sure and pronounce that first ‘O’ long and everyone will think you’re a local. Great video. I really enjoyed watching. I love when visitors love an appreciate the area. It’s what has made me a permanent resident 😉

Beautiful up there, with the redwoods and the Eel River. Need to get up there again sometime soon.
